The report showcases the Congressman's continued commitment to constituents through his hundreds of public meetings – both in-person and virtual – Shots in Shop barbershop COVID-19 vaccine initiative, his Stop Asian Hate forum and his constituent services to help families and small businesses get the resources they need from the federal government to survive and thrive during the pandemic.
In all, Congressman Johnson helped bring home more than $1 billion in relief funds to help GA-4 constituents and small businesses not just survive the pandemic but get back on their feet, put people back to work and kids get back in schools safely.
In Washington, D.C., Congressman Johnson led the charge for increased investments in transit, HBCUs, police and court reform. Back home, he helped secure hundreds of millions of COVID relief funding for DeKalb, Rockdale, Gwinnett and Newton counties, cities within D-4 and hundreds of millions for our schools and students.
From the report: "2021 was a year that Congressman Johnson and his staff got outside their collective comfort zones to serve and win for the people of Georgia's Fourth District both here at home and in Washington, D.C. Rep. Johnson stood up for our sacred right to vote by peacefully protesting – and getting arrested - for filibuster reform outside the Senate. At home in our District, the Congressman and his staff topped more than $70 million secured for constituents seeking help with federal agencies since 2007 – milestones that reflect his commitment to taking care of home first and taking the people's voices from Georgia to the halls of Congress in Washington, D.C."
