Congressman Johnson Helps Constituents Receive Passports, Bypassing USPS

ATLANTA, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), in partnership with the Department of State’s Atlanta Passport Agency, hosted more than 150 constituents for his District Passport Day, Wednesday, July 17, at the Latin American Association on Buford Highway.  

Constituents of Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District reached out to Johnson’s office voicing concerns in getting their passports processed due to delays caused by the U.S. Postal Service. The District Passport Day streamlined constituents’ passport experience by allowing them to apply directly with the Atlanta Passport Agency.

Constituents left thanking Congressman Johnson and his staff for hosting this event as they were able to meet with the Atlanta Passport Agency and apply for their passports in 15 minutes without waiting in lines and worrying about their personal documents getting lost in the mail.
