While more than 120,000 of people in District rely on Social Security programs, extreme MAGA Republicans have unveiled a plan to end Social Security and Medicare in five years. While visiting a senior center in Conyers, Congressman Johnson emphasized his and House Democrats' strong support for protecting Social Security in the face of these extreme MAGA Republican attacks. He visited the senior center to celebrate Social Security's birthday and passage of the Inflation Reduction Act that will allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, among many other transformative healthcare policies.
