Congressman Johnson Announces Opening of Annual Congressional App Challenge
DECATUR, GA – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that his 2024 Congressional App Challenge is open for business.
Students can register for the 2024 Congressional App Challenge and start coding their apps for 2024 HERE. The competition deadline is October 24, 2024.
Congressional App Challenge, a competition designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding, will accept application until October 24 this year. Judging begins October 28 and winners will be announced November 22. Officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, this nationwide effort allows students to compete against their peers by creating and an application or “app,” for mobile, tablet, or computer devices. The Challenge is designed to promote innovation and engagement in coding and computer science.
The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle school and high school students in the 4th Congressional District of Georgia. The winner from the 4th Congressional District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us, and the winning app will also be on display in the U.S. Capitol, honoring the winners from across the country.
