WHAT: “Week of H.O.P.E.” – Helping Other People Elevate

WHEN: August 11-16, 2025

WHERE: Online; Georgia’s 4th Congressional District

WHY: To honor National Nonprofit Day and uplift the critical work of community-based organizations, Congressman Hank Johnson is hosting his annual “Week of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Elevate)” The initiative includes:

  • Grants Workshop Series (Aug. 11-14): Free, virtual workshops for nonprofit leaders and local officials to strengthen grant writing, explore alternative funding, and learn about Community Project Funding | To register: click HERE. For more information, click HERE.  
  • A Day in My Shoes (Aug. 15): Rep. Johnson and staff will volunteer at a local food pantry to spotlight community service in the district
  • H.O.P.E. Awards Ceremony (Aug. 16): A special in-person celebration recognizing outstanding nonprofits making a difference across the 4th District.

Each event is designed to support, educate, and celebrate organizations working to improve lives and build stronger communities.
