FY2021 Appropriations Requests

Congressman Hank Johnson's office is pleased announce that we are now accepting Fiscal Year 2021 Appropriations Requests for priorities in the Fourth Congressional District.

The deadline for completed appropriations submissions closed on Monday, March 2, 2020.
Congressman Johnson is committed to fighting for federal assistance that will improve the infrastructure, economic vitality, and quality of life throughout our Fourth District. This is why we are looking for your recommendations.

As you prepare your requests, it is important to keep in mind that our office will receive far more requests for assistance each year than can be funded. Appropriations requests should fill a clear and present need, have the ability to be administered competently, and must be supported by the local community. This will be a very tight budget year, so only a small percentage of requests submitted to the Appropriations Committee will receive funding. Additionally, the amount that is approved by the Appropriations Committee is unlikely to match the requested amount. It is critical that you also pursue grant and other federal, state, or local assistance where you may be eligible.

Our office is here to assist you as you move through this process. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jacqui Kappler in our Washington, D.C., office at 202-225-1605 or jacqui.kappler@mail.house.gov.

Thank you.
