DECATUR, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today that DeKalb County has been awarded $2.8 million through the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program.

COVINGTON, GA – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today that Covington, located in Georgia’s 4th Congressional District, has been awarded $150,000 in grant funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s (BIL) Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program. Covington is one of 17 Georgia communities to benefit from this $2.6 million investment aimed at reducing energy consumption, lowering emissions, and improving energy efficiency.

Congressman Particularly Focused on Benefits to Seniors on Fixed Incomes

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), announced that Georgia was awarded $83 million in funding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). It’s part of $3.7 billion being released nationwide to help lower heating costs for American families this winter.

The Inflation Reduction Act will deliver landmark investments to lower Georgia families' kitchen table costs, create nine million good-paying union jobs, combat the climate crisis and dramatically reduce the deficit.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced that he secured the inclusion of more than $15 million for 13 community projects in Georgia's Fourth District in the FY23 appropriations – Congress's annual spending plan.

The inclusion of this funding in the Appropriations Committee bills is the first step in the budgetary process.
